About this riding club
We are an NPO (private nonprofit organization) working to conserve the rare native Japanese Yonaguni horse by finding meaningful roles for it. As of July 2017, preparations were underway to establish the Yonaguni Horse Conservation and Utilization Association as a general incorporated association.
Protecting and conserving rare animals is essential, but we believe conservation efforts alone are not enough without opportunities for the animals to play an active role. We breed Yonaguni horses ourselves and train them for riding, therapeutic riding and animal-assisted education. We also propose various ways of playing and spending time with Yonaguni horses, working to introduce more people to the joy and wonder of these encounters.
