About this riding club
At Minamigaoka Farm, enjoy a pleasant break in the refreshing highland breeze. As a working dairy farm, it operates year-round. Meet many animals including cows, sheep, goats, horses, donkeys and rabbits. A led-riding area allows beginners and children to try riding with reassurance, with staff alongside and wonderful views of the expansive natural surroundings from horseback. There are also cafes and restaurants, and the farm is especially known for soft-serve ice cream. Its signature vanilla soft serve has a rich, creamy flavor from a proprietary blend; a magazine once described it as a remarkable soft serve that sold 5,000 servings in a day. Sausage-and-butter-making and ice-cream-making experiences are also available. Visitor facilities have seasonal closures as listed separately.
