MIKI Horse Trek

About this riding club

Beginner Class
For those taking riding classes for the first time after an introductory ride. Staff provide one-to-one instruction until you reach a certain level. In addition to riding, learn grooming and tacking up (putting on the saddle and other equipment), and become comfortable handling horses.
Start Class
Move up after you can perform rising trot independently in the Beginner Class. In group lessons, learn rising and sitting trot while controlling the horse’s speed. Once your rein handling and rising and sitting trot are steady, begin canter practice.
Hop Class
After learning the basics of walk, trot and canter in the Start Class, practice steering in a group, including at canter.
Step Class
Review what you have learned through the Hop Class. Master the three gaits and develop more advanced aids and steering.
Please note:
◆ We select the arena according to arena usage.
◆ Lessons normally proceed in rain, but may be canceled at short notice for safety in lightning, strong winds or similar conditions.
◆ Some lessons may be canceled for competitions, workshops or other events at Miki Horse Land Park. Guests with reservations will be informed in advance.

Shuttle service
Traveling by train and shuttle bus:
The nine-seat shuttle requires a reservation by the previous day and operates three services daily. Some lesson and trekking times cannot be served, so check when booking.
1. From Osaka: change at Sannomiya Station to the Kobe Municipal Subway and get off at Seishin-chuo.
2. From Himeji/Kakogawa: take a Shinki Bus from the south exit of Akashi Station to Seishin-chuo.
3. From stations between Akashi and Sannomiya: change from JR at Shin-Nagata to the Kobe Municipal Subway, or from Sanyo Railway at Itayado, and get off at Seishin-chuo.
MIKI Horse Trek provides three free shuttle services daily (Tuesday–Sunday) between Seishin-chuo Station on the Kobe Municipal Subway and Miki Horse Land Park for guests with trekking, introductory riding or lesson reservations. On Saturdays and Sundays, the municipal Mikki Bus also links Ebisu Station on Kobe Electric Railway with Miki Horse Land Park (fare: JPY 150).
Shuttle reservations are essential. Call by 17:30 the previous day to reserve your specific service. Each service seats nine; reservations close when full. Services with no reservations do not run. The Mikki Bus runs a regular Saturday/Sunday timetable.
