About this riding club
Horse riding does not require exceptional physical strength, so it is a sport in which young and old, regardless of gender, can participate on an equal footing.
People with disabilities can enjoy it as well as those without disabilities. Riding provides not only physical training but positive mental effects. As the saying “a horse is a mirror” suggests, affection toward a horse is conveyed directly to it and reflected back to the person. For this reason, riding for people with disabilities is used to assist rehabilitation and the return to community life of people with physical or mental disabilities. Unfortunately, facilities offering this type of riding are still few, owing to financial constraints and shortages of suitable horses and staff.
Tanba Riding Club became a reality through the combination of our wish to make riding a sport for many people, rather than a select few, and Ayabe’s Fureai Ranch, which supports livestock farming and provides a place of relaxation for residents. We see this as a step toward a brighter future.
We hope to continue moving steadily forward, like a horse progressing from walk to trot to canter.
