About this riding club
Shirakawa Riding Association is a nonprofit organization funded by members’ fees.
Members with some riding proficiency teach beginners.
Individuals are responsible for their own injuries while riding and must arrange their own insurance.
The association covers all injuries to horses and damage to tack, whether or not these occur during riding.
As it is operated by a farming household, membership applications are generally accepted year-round.
Visits and free introductory riding are available, but reservations are required.
No particular riding style is imposed.
Three types of saddle—English, stockman and Western—are available so riders can choose their preferred style.
Beginners are generally taught in the English style.
